Tragic, Fatal Accident Kills Four in Kenansville, North Carolina (NC)
KENANSVILLE, NC - An accident news report wwaytv3.com reports that search and rescue crews worked a rollover accident throughout the night. The collision occurred during a police chase that sent a motor vehicle whirling into a Duplin County pond.*
The North Carolina State Patrol stated that a trooper attempted to stop a driver who was speeding along highway NC 24 in Duplin County. As the trooper attempted the stop, the driver then sped off and tried to evade police.
The police chase traveled through the city of Kenansville along NC 24 and then onto NC 11 north. At the intersection of NC 903 and NC 11, investigators stated that the driver did not stop at a stop sign, traveled through NC 903, off the road, and then landed in a pond. The car quickly submerged in approximately 15 feet of water.
