SUV Crashes Attempting to Evade an Accident in Cypress Pointe, North Carolina (NC)

January 21, 2021

NORTH CAROLINA - According to an accident news story on sandhillssentinel.com, two women were lucky to survive a severe accident on Wednesday.*  Emergency medical services and law enforcement officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at around 4 p.m.  The location of the accident was near the 1100 block of Lobelia Road by Johnson Grove Road.

The first responders found a Chevrolet SUV lying on the side of the road.  The first responders began extricating the accident victims by cutting open the roof of the SUV to obtain access to the victims.  A helicopter was called to the scene as a safety precaution if any of the victims were at risk of dying.  Fortunately, the two accident victims were freed from the SUV.

The Equinox driver said that she was heading eastbound along Lobelia Road when a different car that was traveling westbound crossed the median and into her lane.  The driver states that she swerved to avoid a head-on collision, ran off the highway, struck a drain culvert.
