Tragic, Fatal Accident in Charlotte, North Carolina (NC)
CHARLOTTE, NC - According to a fatal accident article on CBS17.com, a woman was tragically killed in an accident in Charlotte, North Carolina.* Officers alleged that the driver who struck and killed the woman in her car was speeding, and he was driving on a revoked license.
Officers answered auto accident calls starting around 6 in the evening. The collision occurred around Wilora Lake Road and North Sharon Amity Road. The responding law enforcement officers discovered three motor vehicles involved in a crash.
A female victim, a 32-year-old woman, was tragically killed during the accident, and she was declared dead at the accident scene. EMS took the drivers from the other two motor vehicles to a local area hospital for medical treatment of serious injuries.
A preliminary investigation concluded that the driver of one of the wrecked motor vehicles, a 34-year-old man, was driving recklessly and speeding prior to the accident, the police report stated. The suspect hit the 32-year-old woman’s vehicle and collided with another motor vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction.
The suspect was arrested immediately after he was discharged from the hospital. He faces multiple charges, including fictitious registration and involuntary manslaughter.
CSI, DWI Taskforce, and Medic were all at the scene of the accident. The crash is an active investigation.
