Three Injured in a Six-vehicle Accident Along I-77 in York County, South Carolina (SC)
YORK COUNTY, SC - According to a vehicle accident report published on wbtv.com, three people were severely injured in an accident that involved six motor vehicles. The crash closed down one section of Interstate 77 northbound in York County, South Carolina.*
York County Sheriff’s Office deputies stated that the collision occurred around 6:45 in the morning along on I-77 north by Exit 82. All northbound lanes were closed in the area as law enforcement officers and EMS crews handled the accident. The traffic lanes were reopened about two hours later.
One accident victim was airlifted from the accident scene, and two other accident victims sustained severe injuries. York County Sheriff’s Office deputies tweeted in reference to the accident at around 7:15 in the morning. The accident is currently under investigation.
