A Fayetteville police news release stated that the accident happened on Friday night at approximately 9:55 p.m. The location of the accident was at the intersection of Plymouth Street and NC. 24. The news release stated that as law enforcement arrived, the officers discovered a man in the road, and he had been hit by a motor vehicle.
The pedestrian accident victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Fayetteville police. The victim’s identity is being withheld until his relatives have been contacted.
