Fatal Accident Tragically Killed One in a Late-night Accident in Richland County, South Carolina (SC)
According to an online news report published on thestate.com, a tragic motor vehicle accident killed one personal in Richland County last Saturday night.*
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 11 p.m. on Garners Ferry Road close to the Ka Ha Alda Trail and past the Lower Richland High School. The accident involved a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Chevrolet Tahoe driver was the only occupant in the sports utility vehicle.
According to Corporal Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that the victim was not wearing a seat belt the victim's Chevrolet Tahoe ran off the right side of the roadway and then overturned.
The motor vehicle accident victim’s name was not released by the Richland County Coroner’s Office. As part of the accident investigation, the driver will be tested for drugs and alcohol. The vehicle was also impounded for safety checks. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting the accident investigation, which is ongoing.
