Tragic, Fatal Head-on Collision in Reidsville, North Carolina (NC)
REIDSVILLE, N.C. — According to an online news report published on myfox8.com, a man was tragically killed in a head-on collision in Rockingham County on Monday. The news story states that a State Highway Patrol news release reported the traffic accident also resulted in numerous people sustaining severe personal injuries, including children. *
The catastrophic accident occurred at 9:55 p.m. The location of the accident was near Mizpah Church Road on N.C. Highway 87 in Rockingham County, North Carolina. A 27-year-old man from Reidsville, North Carolina, was driving along N.C. Highway 87 in a westbound direction. A female driver from Burlington, North Carolina, was traveling eastbound on N.C. Highway 87. The accident news report states that the one of the car crossed over the center line and caused a head-on collision.
One of the drivers was transported by helicopter to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where the driver tragically pased away as a result of the accident injuries. This driver´s passenger was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver in the other vehicle had a car full of passengers. The four passengers were transported to a hospital with personal injuries ranging from minor to severe but non-life-threatening.
North Carolina Troopers cleared the accident scene at approximately 12:30 a.m.
