Two people were in the Honda, including a 66-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, both of whom are also from Dallas. Responders rushed the victims to the hospital, but the woman died while being transported. The man was transported to a Charlotte hospital via airlift where his condition was reportedly critical. Police stated that the victims were a married couple. Following the horrific collision, the driver of the Jeep exited his SUV and, according to witnesses at the scene, appeared to be dazed.
