Five Injured in a Police Chase in Ashville, North Carlona

March 11, 2020

ASHVILLE, NC- Wlos.com writes that police arrested four suspects following a police chase that ended in a crash. The incident ended on Henderson Road, which was closed for several hours following the collision.*

The chase began when officers responded to a call regarding individuals breaking into a car in the parking lot of the Biltmore Forest Country Club. The person who called in the crime provided officers with a description of the perpetrators and their vehicle. An officer spotted the suspects and followed them as they headed down a dead-end road and into a parking lot. At that point, the officer activated his lights and tried to stop the car. The suspect then attempted to flee the officer and drove into the police cruiser. The collision caused significant damage to the officer’s car.

The officer then proceeded to follow the suspect as he drove into Biltmore Forrest and eventually into Biltmore Village. The fleeing motorist then struct several cars before flipping over and stopping on Henderson Road at the intersection of All Souls Crescent. The four people in the car were all injured in the crash, and responders transported them to the Mission Hospital. All have since been released into police custody. A civilian also suffered injuries in one of the crashes and was transported to the Mission Hospital as well. There is no word on that individual’s condition. The four suspects included a 23-year-old man who was driving the car, a 23-year-old passenger, a 38-year-old passenger, and a 30-year-old passenger. All of the suspects are male. Police are still investigating the incident and believe that the men might be wanted in multiple jurisdictions.
