One Person Tragically Dies in Head-On Crash in Raleigh, North Carolina


November 19, 2019

RALEIGH, NC – According to an online news report at cbs17.com, a person died in a head-on collision that occurred between two vehicles.

Police indicate that the accident happened on Lead Mine Road at Lake Park Drive in the early afternoon hours.  A driver, later identified as a female, was headed southbound on Lead Mine Road.  For reasons that are unknown at this time, she crossed over the double-yellow line and slammed head-on into an automobile that was headed northbound on Lead Mine Road, per the accident report.  The female driver has not been identified in the crash.

The operator of the second vehicle sustained serious injuries.  This individual has also not been identified.  

Lead Mine Road was closed during the investigation of the wreck.
