Individual Tragically Dies in Duplin County Workplace Accident in Dublin County, North Carolina

DUPLIN COUNTY, NC – According to an online news report at wect.com, a person has tragically died in a workplace accident located in Duplin County, North Carolina.*

Per the county sheriff, a worker fell onto a piece of equipment at a plant in Teachey, North Carolina.  This individual was cleaning at the time of the accident, which occurred late last week.

The victim worked for Packers Sanitation Services, Inc. and was pronounced deceased at the accident scene.  The identification of the victim has not been made publicly available at this time.  The North Carolina Department of Labor is investigating the accident. According to a preliminary report, it appears that the worker became lodged between an auger blade and the wall of a chiller.  No further details have been made available.
