Two Individuals Airlifted After Severe Crash in Pine Bluff, North Carolina

November 05, 2019

PINE BLUFF, NC- writes that a severe accident occurred on U.S. Highway 1 near Pinebluff over the weekend. The crash took place in the early evening and left both of the vehicles involved with severe damage. A Chevrolet was on its side, and one of the occupants was trapped inside of that vehicle.*

Rescue workers were able to extricate the person from the vehicle with the use of hydraulic tools, which they used to remove the roof. The female victim was then transported to the trauma center via airlift.

Another individual was also taken to the trauma via airlift, and several others were taken to the Firsthealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst. The crash shut down the northbound lanes of U.S. northbound while the emergency workers attended to the victims and then cleared the roadway of debris.

A tow truck was near the accident right after it took place, and the workers were able to turn the vehicle over to give better access to rescue workers.
