Two Motorists Sustain Injuries in a Crash Involving a Pickup Truck and School Bus

HUNTERSVILLE, NC – According to an online news report at wsoctv.com, two drivers sustain injuries following an accident where a pickup truck slammed into a school bus in Huntersville, North Carolina, per the local police.*

The accident occurred in the late afternoon hours at the intersection of Gilead Road close to Ranson Road. Emergency personnel indicate that the drivers of the truck and school bus were transported to a local hospital where they are listed in stable condition.  

Local law enforcement indicates that the students on the bus were departing from Torrence Creek Elementary School.  

The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Gilead Road near Ranson Road.

Multiple first responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident.  The accident resulted in serious backups on Gilead Road while authorities worked the scene.   It is not clear how and why the pickup truck struck the school bus.  The report does not indicate whether charges will be filed as a result of the accident.

There are no further details on the accident at this time. The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
