Motorcyclist Tragically Dies in Crash that Occurred in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, NC – According to an online news report at abc11.com, a motorcyclist tragically perished in an accident that occurred over the weekend in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.*

Emergency personnel and law enforcement were dispatched to the scene of the accident at the intersection of Mallette Street and West Franklin in the mid-afternoon hours.  The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  Two individuals were located in the sports utility vehicle that struck the motorcyclist. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.  The identity of the individuals involved in the crash has not been identified.  It is not clear as to the status of the occupants of the sports utility vehicle.  The cause of the accident has not been released at this time.

There are no further details available on the accident.  The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
