Pedestrian Tragically Killed in Weekend Crash in Greenbrier, Tennessee

GREENBRIER, TN – According to an online news report at,an individual perished following a pedestrian accident that occurred over the weekend.*

An individual perished at the scene of an accident that occurred over the weekend.  Per officials from Robertson County, a man, aged 49, died at the scene of an accident after he was hit by at least one automobile close to 2806 Highway 41 in Greenbriar.  The accident occurred in the early morning hours.

The accident is currently being investigated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.  The man’s body was transported to the coroner’s office for further investigation. Per the police report issued by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, in the early morning hours, the driver of a vehicle that was traveling in the 2700 block of Tennessee State Highway 41 southbound noticed what seemed to be a body lying in the roadway.  The driver of this vehicle saw the body of a Caucasian male who was only wearing blue jeans and appeared to be unresponsive.

The driver of the vehicle that spotted the man moved his vehicle away from the body and contacted 911.  When police came to the scene of the accident, a trooper accidentally ran over the man’s body.  Thereafter, the trooper found the man as being unresponsive and lying in the middle of the road.  It is not clear why the man was in the roadway to begin with.  Per the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the accident remains under investigation by the local police.  

A Go Fund Me Page has been set up by the family to cover expenses. The family tells Smokey Barn News that the deceased man was in the process of heading home from Nashville when the accident occurred.

There are no further details on the accident at this time.
