Contigo Kids Water Bottles Subject to Recall for Choking Hazard

March 02, 2020

USA- writes that Contigo recalled water bottles over a possible choking hazard presented by the lids. The recall involves silicone spouts that are black and may detach ending up in a child’s mouth, posing a risk of choking. The impacted bottles are those that come in thirteen-ounce, fourteen-ounce, and twenty-ounce sizes. These water bottles were sold in numerous styles including solid colors, stainless steel, and bottles with graphics on them.*

Consumers who purchased the recalled bottles should stop using them immediately and contact the company to receive a replacement water bottle. Consumers who received replacement lids when an earlier recall occurred in August should also contact the company for another replacement.

According to reports, the recall impacts 5.7 million water bottles. The products were sold at Costco, Target, Walmart, and other stores.
