Georgia Accident Attorneys Montlick & Associates Sponsors SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy at the Atlanta Motor Speedway

May 06, 2011

As part of Montlick & Associates’ commitment to driver safety, we are proud to partner with the Safe America Foundation in support of their SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy. This Saturday, May 7th, hundreds of teens and their parents will gather at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for a day of interactive training designed to give young drivers hands-on driving experience in a safe learning environment. Teens will learn the basics of safe driving from experts including law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical personnel.

At the event, Safe America experts will teach teens what happens in a roll-over accident, what happens in a vehicle crash extraction and also the risks of driving alongside big rig trucks and driver distractions. Teens and parents will also have the opportunity to attend demonstrations and workshops covering many important topics such as: the consequences of breaking traffic laws, tips on car insurance, preventative vehicle maintenance, and driving in bad weather. Register your teen driver at Safeamerica.org.

The SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy is one of many driver safety events that Montlick & Associates has sponsored over the past year. The partnership with Safe America began in the Fall of 2010 with the firm sponsoring a “Braking Contest” where teens competed against each other on driving simulators. The “Braking” competition was part of Safe America’s ‘SafeTeen 100’ program – a year-long initiative to increase driving skills by rewarding good drivers. The top 10 drivers from each event will compete this weekend at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for an opportunity to win a 2011 Ford Focus.

Montlick & Associates has a long history of giving back to the community, not only in terms of free legal advice to accident victims but also through the firm’s ongoing public safety initiatives going strong for over 25 years. “Unfortunately our firm has seen so many situations where teen drivers are injured in auto accidents, sometimes fatally, due to inexperience behind the wheel and driver distractions. If the information provided at our driver safety events can prevent one automobile accident and save a life, then it has all been worth the effort." says Founder and CEO David Montlick.
