Following a Crash, George Clooney is Auctioning his Motorcycle
USA- Latimes.com writes that George Clooney has put his motorcycle up for auction just a few months after he was involved in a collision in Italy. Clooney’s wife, Amal has pushed Clooney to get rid of the Harley Davidson.*
Clooney’s vehicle was bought new and is being auctioned with just 25 miles on it. He has offered to sign the bike for the person who purchases the vehicle. In July 2018, Clooney was struck bya car in Sardinia while he was on his motor scooter. Following the crash, the actor was transported to the emergency room where he was treated for arm and leg injuries. The injuries were not described as serious.
Representatives for Clooney say that he was traveling at 60 miles per hour at the time of the accident, and was thrown 20 feet. Clooney had a helmet on when the crash occurred.
The actor and his wife have one-year-oldtwins, and Amal is anxious about the risks presented by riding a motorcycle.
The motorcycle will be auctioned for the benefit of veterans at the Home for Our Troops Veterans Day celebrity auction. The bike will be auctioned alongside “Knicks tickets from Ben Stiller, a guitar signed by Kenny Chesney, a tennis match with Owen Wilson and lots of late-night show tickets and TV and movie set visits.”
Individuals looking to bid on the motorcycle have to get preapproval from eBay prior to bidding. The retail value of Clooney’s Harley Davidson is $26,100. The Latime.com stated that the bids for the bike were set at $26,100.
Motorcyclists are at a far greater risk of injury and death than occupants of other vehicles. The best piece of safety equipment for motorcyclists is a helmet.
