The Summer Open Burning Ban Starts May 1, 2018
ATLANTA, GA – May 1, 2018 (wbrc.com). According to an online news report at wbrc.com, the summery months means that there will be restrictions on open burning in the greater Atlanta area.*
The ban ends on September 30, 2018. Per the news report, “this ban prohibits the citizens and businesses of 54 Georgia counties from burning yard and land-clearing debris. This rule is in addition to the year-round state ban on the burning of household garbage.”
Failing to follow the restrictions may possibly result in monetary fines.
