Art of Green Laundry Detergent Recalled Due Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Bacteria Contamination
According to an online news report published on cbsnews.com, Art of Green laundry detergent has been recalled due to the potential for bacteria contamination. The bacteria could cause customers who purchased the laundry detergent tot become very ill. The recall announcement states that two types of Art of Green laundry detergent were recalled due to possible bacteria contamination.
Art of Green Zen Lavender Garden detergent sold in 100-ounce bottles and 33.8 oz. pouches, as well as Free and Clear detergent sold in 100-oz, were recalled. Approximately 14,550 units were sold. People who purchased the recalled laundry detergent should immediately stop using the product and contact AlEn USA to receive a full refund.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission's safety recall announcement states that the bacteria issue involved the Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is found in contaminated water and soil. The recall states that people with healthy immune systems should not be harmed by the bacteria. However, small children and people who have weakened immune systems are at a greater risk of serious infection.
