Nautilus Treadmills Recalled Due to Fall Danger
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Nautilus Treadmills has issued a recall of its treadmill products due to a severe fall hazard to users.
The recall was initiated on June 09, 2022, and affected approximately 7,300 units. Those consumers who purchased a recalled treadmill should visit Nautilus.com and then click on the "Recall Notices" link found at the bottom of the page for additional recall information.
The recall affects Nautilus treadmills that have a model number of T616 and a serial number of 100672PRO21140001 through 100672PRO21171980 or model number T618 with a serial number within 100647PRO21130111 through 100647PRO21183960. Nautilus reported that the model number is printed on a plastic shroud located on the front of the treadmill's tread belt. The serial number can be found on the base frame of the treadmill underneath the treadmill belt.
Consumers who own a recalled treadmill should immediately stop using the treadmills and call Nautilus to obtain a free USB flash drive that has installation instructions and a software upgrade. Nautilus reports that it will automatically ship instructions and the USB flash drive at no cost to consumers who bought the treadmills straight from Nautilus. The treadmill instructions will show consumers how to plug the flash drive into the USB port and upload the software upgrade.
