A Man was Hit by a Vehicle While Running Across Busy Roadway in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – According to an online news report at wral.com, a man was hit by a vehicle while attempting to run across Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville, North Carolina.*

The victim is currently listed as in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle over the weekend, per the local police.  

The accident occurred in the evening hours on Cliffdale Road at 71st School Road, as officials noted.  The man, aged 42, was in the process of running across the roadway when he was hit by a 2017 Hyundai Accent that was operated by a 53-year-old female.  The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.  

Eyewitnesses report that the driver had a green light at the time of the accident when the man ran right into the path of her vehicle.  No charges are expected to be filed at this time.  There are no further details on the crash.  The accident remains under investigation.
