Man Sustains Serious Injuries After Being Struck by Three Vehicles in Apex, North Carolina

APEX, NC – According to an online news report at myfox8.com, a man sustained severe injuries after being struck by three vehicles, per a news release by the Apex Police Department.*

In the evening hours earlier this week, officers were dispatched to West Williams Street following receipt of a report involving three vehicles and a pedestrian.

Police indicate that the pedestrian, a male, whose identification has not been reported, was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a vehicle.  The driver stopped and attempted to render aid to the victim. In the process, two other vehicles hit the man who was lying in the roadway. They fled the scene of the crash. Police are currently searching for the two drivers who failed to stop after striking the pedestrian.  

The man was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for severe injuries.  His status at this time is unknown.
