Montlick & Associates - Proud Sponsors of 2012 Race for the Fallen, Honoring Georgia's Fallen Heroes
The Attorneys at Montlick & Associates want to thank all those who came out to Lake Lanier Islands Resort on Saturday, March 17th, to participate and support the 2012 Run for The Fallen. Run for the Fallen is an annual 10K-5K-1K event hosted by Fallen Heroes of Georgia. The proceeds raised from entry fees and sponsor donations help fund scholarships and programs formed by the families of the fallen heroes in memory of their loved ones.
The 2012 race paid tribute to the 202 Georiga Servicemen and women who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001. Montlick & Associates is proud to have supported the event in 2011, and again in 2012 as a platinum level sponsor and through employee participation in the race. "Supporting our military is something that is extremely important to all of us at our firm" says Montlick & Associates Founder & CEO, David Montlick. "Sponsoring the Run for the Fallen is one way we can let our servicemen and women, as well as their families, know how much we understand and appreciate the incredible sacrifices that are made each and every day, and to let the families of Georgia's Fallen Heroes know that we will never forget." Linda Lamie, mother of Fallen Hero Army Sgt. Gene L. Lamie of Homerville GA, who died July 6, 2007 serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom, expressed her appreciation to race supporters, "It means so much when you see someone run past and just say thank you, or stop and hug your neck. When you see a small child out doing a 5K, just to say we remember the fallen soldier….there's no way to explain what that does for your heart."
Montlick & Associates has a long history of supporting the nation's military, and is proud to have been named the 2011 Most Patriotic Business by the Association of the US Army.
