WEST VOLUSIA, FL. – According to a news report posted online at news-journalonline.com, a two-vehicle accident that happened on State Road 11 in West Volusia, Florida, tragically killed a motorcyclist. It appears from authorities’ preliminary investigation of the case that the accident occurred during the course of a right turn.*
The collision took place in the late afternoon at the crossing of Blackwelder Road and State Road 11. At the intersection with Blackwelder Road, the GMC slowed to make a right turn. Troopers say that’s when the motorcyclist attempted to pass the GMC on the right. As the GMC proceeded with the turn, it struck the motorcycle. It is not clear at this time what factors were involved in the collision.
