Two Serious Accidents on United States Highway 301 in Pasco County, Florida

Pasco Firefighters Dispatched to the Scene of Two Serious Crashes in Dade City, Florida

DADE CITY, FL – According to an online news report at, the Pasco County Fire Rescue members were dispatched to the scene of two accidents late last week that resulted in two individuals being transported via medical helicopter to an area hospital.*

A pedestrian is in serious condition after being struck by an automobile at the intersection of United States Highway 301 and Trilby Road.  This individual was transported by a medical helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.

In another accident, the Pasco County Fire Rescue team was dispatched to the scene of an accident where a vehicle rolled over.  This occurred at the intersection of United States Highway 301 and Christian Drive.  Traffic was backed up for miles due to the shut-down of the road while law enforcement and emergency personnel worked the scene.  The road was shut down for several hours.  Numerous people sustained injuries in this accident, where an individual was taken to an area hospital via a medical helicopter.

There are no further details on these accidents at this time.  The crashes remain under investigation.
