Deadly Four-Vehicle Wreck Occurs on U.S. 1 in Palm Shores, Florida

PALM SHORES, FL. – According to a news report posted online at, a deadly four-vehicle wreck occurred on U.S. Highway 1 in Palm Shores, Florida. Little information regarding the accident has been reported at this time, and Florida Highway Patrol is in the process of investigating.* 

The accident happened in the early evening, close to Silver Oak Boulevard on U.S. 1. Florida Highway Patrol and Florida Today report that around 5:30 p.m., authorities were called to the scene on a report of a traffic collision. Emergency crews arrived to find that four vehicles had been involved in an accident. The makes and models of the four vehicles were not included in the news report, nor were any descriptions of the vehicles.

The report does not say how the vehicles came to collide or what events might have contributed to the crash. It is unclear if any of the drivers were cited at the scene. Troopers have not immediately stated the cause of the accident or indicated what factors they might be looking into as part of their investigation.

Florida Today reports that one person tragically died in the accident. The report says this person was a driver but does not provide any identifying information about him or her. 

Florida Today additionally reports that another person was transported to a local hospital following the collision. This person was also not identified, and the report does not say if he or she was a driver or passenger. The person’s injuries were described as serious. A current medical condition for the person was not reported.

The crash caused the highway to shut down in both directions. Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident. At the time the report was posted to the Florida Today website, Troopers had not released additional information.
