September 08, 2019

PASCO COUNTY, FL. – According to an online news article published at, a deadly pedestrian accident was reported as occurring on U.S. Highway 19 in Pasco County, Florida. The vehicle driver’s son reportedly told authorities that they were on their way to do some shopping and did not see the victim until after they hit him.*

The collision occurred on the northbound side of U.S. 19, near Johnson Road. Florida Highway Patrol and WFLA report that a 2005 Isuzu Trooper was traveling north on the highway and somehow ran into a pedestrian who was walking across the roadway. It is not clear what direction the pedestrian was walking at the time, but the report says he was crossing the lanes of travel on the highway.

WFLA reports that the pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the crash and tragically died at the scene of the collision. Officials identified the victim as a 64-year-old man from Port Richey, Florida.

The driver of the Isuzu was not identified in the report, and it is not clear if anyone in the vehicle was injured. It appears the driver and his son were the only two people in the car.
