Driver Tragically Killed in Polk County, Florida Accident That Involved a School Bus

HOMELAND, FL — According to an online news report at, a driver died in a crash that occurred in Polk County.  The accident involved a school bus.*

According to local officials, a driver died in an accident in Polk County that involved a school bus.  There were only four students who were on the bus at the time of the accident.  The crash occurred on Homeland-Garfield Road in the area of Homeland.  The four students on the bus did not sustain any injuries in the accident.  The driver however, perished in the collision.  It appears from the police report that the school bus and another vehicle were involved in a head-on collision.  The accident does not appear to be the fault of the bus driver.  There are no further details on the accident at this time. The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
