Tragic, Fatal Auto Accident in West Palm Beach, Florida

January 18, 2020

WEST PALM BEACH, FL- Palmbeachpost.com writes that a deadly collision occurred earlier this week in West Palm Beach. The late morning wreck took place near the intersection of Loxahatchee Drive and Okeechobee Boulevard.*

Reports indicate that a westbound Bentley and an eastbound Nissan Maxima collided when the driver of the Nissan attempted to turn left. The police were on the scene for several hours investigating the site, and the westbound lanes remained shut down until the late afternoon. Officers are requesting that anyone with information about the collision contact the police. At this time, officials have not reported the identity of the victim.

Left Hand Turns Can Become a Serious Head-on or a T-bone Accident

Left turns are known to be a dangerous driving maneuver. In order to carry out a left turn, a driver must look for oncoming vehicles to determine whether there is enough time to turn in front of those cars. If the person turning’s judgment is mistaken, the consequences can be deadly. The impact can be head-on or a T-bone crash depending on the position of the turning car when the other vehicle makes contact.
