Deadly Motorcycle Crash Occurs in Glades County, Florida

November 15, 2019

GLADES COUNTY, FL – According to an online news report at fox4now.com, the Florida Highway Patrol reports that two male motorcyclists tragically died in a crash.*

The accident occurred on Altman Lane and Loblolly Bay Road in Glades County over the weekend.

One of the drivers, a 26-year-old from Saginaw, Texas, was operating a 2017 Ducati on Loblolly Bay Road.  A second motorcyclist, a man, aged 29, from Cape Coral, was operating a 2017 BMW and was traveling behind the Ducati.  The driver of the Ducati suddenly made an illegal U-turn, which caused the BMW to strike it.  Following the crash, the Ducati finally rested on the roadway facing west in the westbound lane.  The BMW rested on the north shoulder facing west along the tree line.

The accident caused the two bikers to be ejected from their motorcycles.  Both tragically died in the crash.  It is not clear whether the bikers died at the scene of the crash or were taken to area hospitals where they were pronounced deceased.
