Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Accident at the intersection of St. Andrews Blvd. and Ruth Hentz Ave. in Panama City, Florida
PANAMA CITY, FL – According to an online news report at mypanhandle.com, a body was found in the middle of the road earlier this week after a hit-and-run accident.*
The Florida Highway Patrol, Panama City Fire, and the Panama City Police were dispatched to the scene of the accident, which occurred in the late nighttime hours.
Due to the accident, the road was blocked off for several hours at the intersection of St. Andrews Boulevard and Ruth Hentz Avenue in Panama City.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol indicate that the accident was a fatal hit-and-run. They also confirmed that the victim was a 43-year-old man from Orlando, Florida.
The investigation of this accident is ongoing, and police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver. The Florida Highway Patrol released a photo of the type of vehicle they believe was involved in the accident.
