Multiple-Vehicle Accident Occurs in Okaloosa County, Florida

OKALOOSA COUNTY, FL – According to an online news report a, a multiple-vehicle accident occurred in Okaloosa County over the weekend that caused one individual to sustain injuries.*

Per the Florida Highway Patrol, a woman, aged 76, from Niceville, Florida was heading westbound t in the left lane of State Road 20 where she suffered from a medical-related event that resulted in her losing control of her vehicle.   At this time, she crossed over the roadway to the grassy median and attempted to overcorrect in order to avoid a crash.  

A man, aged 64, from Niceville, Florida stopped to avoid the woman’s vehicle but was struck on the left side by her vehicle.  He then continued to travel westbound in the right late of State Road 20.  As a result, the man’s vehicle struck another vehicle that was driven by a 42-year-old woman from Warner Robins, Georgia. She had a passenger in her vehicle, a man, aged 41, also from Warner Robins, Georgia.  The individual that sustained injuries was the female driver. Her injuries are reported as not being life-threatening.  It is not clear whether anyone else involved in the accident sustained injuries.  The accident remains under investigation by the local police.  There are no further details on the crash at this time.
