Teenager Sustains Injuries after Crashing in front of Gadsden High School
GADSDEN COUNTY, FL – According to an online news report at wctv.tv, the Florida Highway Patrol indicates that a teenager was transported to a local hospital after a vehicular accident that occurred in front of Gadsden High School in the mid-morning hours.*
Per the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred due to the fact that the teenager did not yield while attempting to turn left into the school. The vehicle that the teenager was operating was located in the eastbound left turning lane on United States Highway 90 at Academy Drive where they turned into Gadsden High School while failing to yield.
The driver of the other vehicle was going westbound on United States Highway 90 and was located inside the westerly lane while approaching Academy Drive. While the teenager was behind the wheel, this individual was unable to see clearly given the fact that another car was turning left in front of them.
The teenager’s vehicle was starting to turn left as it entered the westerly lane right into the path of another vehicle. The vehicles then collided, causing the two individuals to sustain injuries. It is not clear as to the status of the injured victims. Their names and ages have not been released to the public. Per the news report, both individuals involved in the accident were transported to a local hospital for treatment. There are no further details on the crash at this time. The accident remains under investigation by local authorities.
