Eight People Injured in Bus Crash on S. Congress Ave. in Palm Springs, Florida
PALM SPRINGS, FL. – According to a news article posted online at wptv.com, eight people were injured in a bus crash that happened on South Congress Avenue in Palm Springs, Florida. The cause of the accident is not yet clear, but investigating authorities indicate it involved five or more vehicles in total.*
The accident occurred in the late afternoon at the crossing of South Congress Avenue with 10th Avenue North. Palm Beach Fire Rescue and WPTV report that at approximately 3 p.m., a Palm Tran Bus somehow became involved in a multi-vehicle wreck. Investigators said that at least four other vehicles were involved in the accident.
None of these vehicles was described in the report, though a photo taken at the scene and posted to the WPTV website indicates one of the other vehicles might have been a Tesla. Rescue crews stated that one person was trapped in a badly damaged vehicle after the accident, and responders had to work to free this person.
