According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), True Living Sling Loungers sold exclusively at Dollar General Stores are being recalled due to the recalled sling loungers can accidentally collapse unexpectedly, posing an amputation, pinching, and laceration danger if a finger is caught in the folding joints of the loungers. The CPSC announcement stated that 155,000 units were being recalled.
Customers who purchased the affected loungers are urged to visit Dollar General online at dollargeneral.com and then click on "Product Recalls," which is found under "Help" at the bottom of the company's website for additional details.
The recall includes True Living Sling Loungers that were sold in 2019. The slinger loungers have a solid blue or solid green fabric and white frames. The 12-digit UPC number is 430001047344, and that number can be found on the receipt.
Consumers are warned to stop using the recalled sling loungers or cut the fabric rendering the chair unusable and contact Dollar General to return the recalled loungers for a full refund of the purchase price.
The company has received three incident reports concerning the sling loungers collapsing, leading to amputations or lacerations to fingers from the metal folding joints.
