Four Injured in Five-Vehicle Wreck in Bryan County, Georgia

BRYAN COUNTY, GA. – According to an online news story reported at wtoc.com, four people were injured in a multi-vehicle wreck that took place in Bryan County, Georgia. The accident involved five vehicles in total, and authorities say they issued four citations to drivers for following too closely.*

The wreck occurred in the late afternoon on April 11 on Interstate 95 in Bryan County. Georgia State Patrol and WTOC report that at about 4 p.m., five vehicles were somehow involved in a collision on I-95 South by Richmond Hill, Georgia. Troopers did not immediately say what caused the collision or issue any specifics regarding the events that led to the crash. 

The makes and models of the vehicles were not included in the WTOC report, but the report described the vehicles as a car, an SUV, a pickup truck, and a tractor-trailer. The fifth vehicle was not described. 

WTOC states that Georgia State Patrol Troopers confirmed injuries to four people involved in the accident. One of the injured person was listed in critical condition, but the extent of the others’ injuries was not reported. The WTOC report did not say to what hospital the injured persons were transported. No one involved was identified, and the report did not state the total number of people involved. 

Troopers said that they issued four citations at the scene for following too closely, according to WTOC. No further information about the accident was included in the report. Troopers are still investigating. The crash caused southbound I-95 to become backed up for more than four hours.
