This Year's "100 Deadliest Days" for Teenage Drivers Could Be the Deadliest Yet
A news story published on 13wmaz.com reports that we have entered the "100 Deadliest Days" for teenage drivers. AAA is predicting that this year's 100 Deadliest Days will be the most dangerous yet. Summertime means more motor vehicles on the road, and this time of year can be more dangerous for new drivers.
A driving student from the Georgia Driving School just got her driver's license, and she feels worried about the "100 Deadly Days" of summer. She states that she's nervous and she will need to be more careful when driving.
According to AAA, the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day is the deadliest for teenage drivers. AAA states that about 2,063 teen drivers are involved in fatal crashes each year in the United States. AAA recommends that parents speak with their teen drivers early about the dangers of distracted driving and speeding, and parents should model safe driving behaviors when they are driving. AAA also recommends that parents conduct 50 hours or more supervised driving practice with their teenage drivers.
One excellent way for teenage drivers to stay safe while driving is to turn on their cellphones "Do Not Disturb" feature, reduce the number of people riding in their car, avoid drowsy driving, and never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
