Tragic, Fatal SUV Accident on I-75 in Manatee County, Florida

MANATEE COUNTY, FL - A new report posted on heraldtribune.com states that the Florida Highway Patrol reported a serious motor vehicle accident on Interstate 75 in Manatee County, Florida, killed a passenger, and injured a driver.*  The vehicle they were riding in, an SUV, crashed on I-75 by mile marker 221 at around 8:45 Saturday morning. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 58-year-old man from Summerfield, Florida, was driving an SUV that was heading southbound along I-75. At some point, the SUV veered to the left in order to avoid an unknown object in the roadway and then overturned. A 62-year-old woman from Summerfield who did not wear a seatbelt was from the motor vehicle. The woman is in the accident was hospitalized for treatment of her severe injuries and then passed away. The driver, who happened to be wearing a seatbelt, was severely injured but survived the accident.

The fatal accident is currently being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol. No other information was provided at this time.
