Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 394 in Bristol, Tennessee (TN)

BRISTOL, TN - According to a motorcycle accident report posted on, two children were injured, and one motorcyclist was tragically killed in an accident on Highway 394 in Bristol, Tennessee.*

A press release provided by the Bristol Tennessee Police Department states that the motorcyclist was heading eastbound along Highway 394 prior to an accident with a sports utility vehicle.  The report states that the SUV was attempting to cross Highway 394 onto White Top Road.  As the SUV made its turn, the motorcyclist crashed into the passenger side of the SUV.  The Bristol Tennessee Police Department arrived at the accident scene at approximately 4:05 p.m.

The motorcyclist was tragically pronounced deceased at the motorcycle accident scene before he could be transported to a local hospital.  The Bristol Tennessee Police Department identified the victim as a 27-year-old man from Bristol, Tennessee.

Two small children also sustained severe accident injuries.  One child, a 2-year-old, was med-evacuated by helicopter to Johnson City for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The other child, a 7-year-old, was taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center by ambulance.  The child was then medevacked by helicopter to Johnson City.  The parents of the two children were not injured in the accident with the motorcyclist. 

The Bristol Tennessee Police Department’s Fatal Incident Response Support Team (FIRST) and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office responded to the fatal accident scene.

The accident is currently under investigation.  No reports of criminal charges or additional details were provided.  The condition of the children has not been released.
