Drivers Asked to Use Caution as Students Return to School
NASHVILLE, TN- AAA is reminding motorists that traffic patterns will change with the launch of the 2020 school year.
AAA reminds motorists to slow down and to remain alert behind the wheel as speed is one of the main factors that determine the severity of a pedestrian crash.
Drivers should be on the lookout for children in residential areas and slow down if in the vicinity, as a lot of learning this year is now taking place outside of the regular school zones.
According to research, the majority of motorists roll through stop signs, even in school zones. Drivers should stop completely at stop signs, and keep a lookout for children and others in order to prevent pedestrian collisions.
Finally, drivers must put down distractions and keep their eyes and attention on the road ahead.
