Why You Should Never Sit With Your Feet on the Dashboard
USA- How you sit while riding in a car is important for your safety, according to THEEPOCHTIMES.COM. An X-ray of a young woman in England is being shared to show the risks of sitting with your legs on the dashboard. The victim was involved in a car crash, and the horrific injuries she sustained show on her X-Rays.*
The victim’s identity has not been released, but a police officer in the UK shared the image as a warning to others. While the woman survived the wreck, her hip was severely broken and dislocated.
The officer who shared the photo reminded drivers that it is important not to allow passengers to sit with feet on the dashboard in any vehicle.
Airbags are designed to deploy in a way that would protect a person whose feet are on the floor of the car. The potentially life-saving vehicle feature can cause severe harm when a person is not sitting upright. Airbags are also a supplemental safety feature that are intended to work with seatbelts, not as an alternative.
