Atlanta Auto Accident Lawyers MONTLICK & ASSOCIATES Sponsor SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy
The Atlanta Auto Accident Attorneys at Montlick & Associates are proud to again sponsor the 2012 SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy, a day of interactive training, workshops and competitions, this Saturday, May 5th from 8am to 3pm at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Parents can register their child for free by using the Montlick Code: MON02F at the Safe America registration site. The code entitles one parent and one teen to attend at no cost (a $25.00 savings). Additional tickets are $10 each
"Unfortunately our firm has seen so many situations where teen drivers are injured in auto accidents, sometimes fatally, due to inexperience behind the wheel and driver distractions" says Montlick & Associates Founder and CEO, David Montlick. "We can't overemphasize how important it is for teens to get proper training, and that is why we strongly recommend this event for all young drivers." Safe America President & CEO, Len Pagano concurs, "Most teens don't get drivers education anymore and we think that's a real crime because they're going to be out there on Atlanta roads with thousands of other people in situations that are life or death." Adds Pagano, "You don't want to turn your teenager loose with a 3,000 pound car without really knowing that they know how to drive properly. So it's really important to get training from an expert, and that's what we are. We're experts in knowing how to drive."
At the event, Safe America experts will join forces with firefighters, emergency medical personnel and law enforcement to teach teens the basics of safe driving. Attendees will see real time accident simulations and get a close up view of what happens in a roll-over accident, what happens in a vehicle crash extraction and also the risks of driving alongside big rig trucks. Multiple workshops, including the consequences of breaking traffic laws, tips on car insurance, preventative vehicle maintenance, and driving in bad weather, are also scheduled throughout the day. Teens will also get the chance to meet NASCAR's newest star, Tia Norfleet, and learn important driver safety techniques that she practices on the race track and on Georgia roads.
