TROUP COUNTY, GA – According to an online news report at 11alive.com, a man has been arrested after an alleged kidnapping that occurred in Montgomery, Alabama.*
The arrest occurred in Georgia after the man’s victim jumped out of his car on Interstate 85 in front of a Troup County sheriff’s deputy. The deputy was sitting alongside of Interstate 85 on the northern side of the roadway close to the Alabama line when he witnessed a car skid to a stop and a woman jump out of the passenger side of the vehicle. The officer rushed to the aid of the woman, helping her to get out of the line of traffic. The woman informed the officer that she had been kidnapped, hence why she jumped out of the man’s vehicle.

Soon thereafter, a second officer aided in the pursuit, taken them through the remainder of Troup County and into Meriwether. The pursuit ultimately ended in a crash in Harris County, as noted by the sheriff’s office.
Law enforcement finally apprehended the driver, who is a 40-year-old from College Park, Georgia. This individual was taken into custody where he is facing charges of felony fleeing/attempting to elude police, driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain, speeding, and the reckless operation of a vehicle.
