Crash on Highway 280 Leaves Woman and Child in Serious Condition
LEE COUNTY, AL – According to an online news report at wrbl.com, at least two individuals sustained serious injuries in an accident that occurred on United States Highway 280.*
The accident occurred close to Summerville Road in the afternoon hours. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office indicates that the accident involved two automobiles. There were two individuals in one vehicle and a single person in the other vehicle involved.
A woman and her infant child were together in one of the vehicles. They both sustained serious injuries in the crash. The woman was transported via ambulance to an area hospital where she is listed as in serious condition. The infant was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital in Atlanta for treatment. The child is also listed as in serious condition.
The single occupant of the other vehicle also sustained injuries. It is not clear how the accident happened. The identity of the victims of the crash has not been made publicly available.
