DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA. – According to an online news report posted at wsbtv.com, a tractor-trailer crashed into a firetruck on Interstate 20 in Douglas County, Georgia. The firetruck was responding to a prior accident on the interstate, according to the news report, and the crash resulted in the tragic death of one person.*
The accident happened in the early morning hours, near the exit to Highway 92 on the westbound side of I-20. Douglas County officials and WSB-TV report that around 3 a.m., a crew with the Douglas County Fire Department was responding to a single-vehicle accident in the area, in which a Ford Mustang traveled off the roadway and rolled over into a wooded area. WSB-TV further reports that the driver of the Mustang from the prior accident was transported to a local hospital with injuries. This person was also not identified, and the extent of his or her injuries is not clear.
