Community Mourning the Death of a 23-Year-Old Tragically Killed in a Hit-and-Run Accident in Georgia

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – According to an online news report at, a community is in mourning over the loss of a beloved 23-year-old community member who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver.*

A family and community mourn the tragic death of a 23-year-old woman who recently passed away after being involved in a hit-and -run accident.  The woman was very popular in her community. A friend of the deceased woman’s family describes the pain and shock of losing such a “giving daughter who was loved throughout the community.  I realize that she was really popular among friends and she used to volunteer a lot,” said a family friend. 

The woman died in an accident that recently occurred at the corner of Venture Drive and Steve Reynolds Boulevard.  The woman was rear-ended by a white, older model of a sports utility vehicle or pickup truck.  The driver of this vehicle did not stop following the crash.  

According to the police report, as the white vehicle turned onto Venture Drive, the woman turned as well.  This was at the exact time that a box truck hit into her vehicle.  The driver of the white vehicle kept going without stopping.  The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment however, she succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The crash remains under investigation by the local police.  Whether any other individual was injured in the accident is unknown.
