Numerous Crashes Cause Major Traffic Delays in the Orlando Area
ORLANDO, FL – According to an online news report at mynews13.com, accidents in the Orlando, Florida area have caused major traffic delays on major toll roads.*
A Florida Highway Patrol officer sustained minor injuries in a crash that occurred earlier this week. Another vehicular accident occurred in the westerly lanes of State Road 528. The accident involved a minivan and a dump truck. Per the Orange County Fire Rescue, the driver of the minivan became pinned under a dump truck. The minivan driver had to be removed from the vehicle. They were transported to an area hospital for treatment. This individual is listed as in fair condition. The driver of the dump truck did not sustain any injuries.
Earlier today, an accident caused all of the northerly lanes of State Road 417 to be blocked. The accident occurred close to Exit 25 on the roadway, which is for Innovation Way/Dowden Road. A driver of a Toyota Camry went over the median on State Route 417 and struck a Florida Highway Patrol squad car close to Moss Park Road. The officer did not sustain any life-threatening injuries in the crash.
There are no further details on the accidents at this time. They all remain under investigation by the local police.
