Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Gopher Hill Rd. in Bradenton, Florida

BRADENTON, FL. – According to a news story reported online at, three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened on Gopher Hill Road in Bradenton, Florida. One of the injured persons is said to be in critical condition, according to the report, and Florida Highway Patrol has not yet said whether charges will be filed.*

The accident happened at the intersection of Gopher Hill Road and Verna Bethany Road. Florida Highway Patrol and report that a 2016 Toyota Camry had been traveling west on Gopher Hill and came to the stop sign at the intersection with Verna Bethany. Troopers say the driver of the Toyota then started to make a left turn at the intersection as another vehicle was oncoming. 

The two vehicles ended up crashing into each other at the intersection. The report says the front of the second vehicle crashed into the side of the Toyota. The make and model of the second vehicle were not reported, so it is not clear what kind of vehicle it was. Troopers said the Toyota traveled directly into the path of the oncoming vehicle, but they did not say why this happened. reports that the driver of the second vehicle was injured in the accident and taken to a hospital for treatment. He was identified as a 21-year-old man from Bradenton. He is said to be in critical condition. It does not appear that any passengers were in his vehicle when the wreck occurred. further reports that two passengers in the Toyota were injured. They were said to be 16 years old. The extent of their injuries is not clear. It is unclear if the driver of the Toyota was injured. She was identified as a female from Bradenton. No further information was included in the news report.
