Car, Motorcycle Collide in Girard Township, Michigan
GIRARD TOWNSHIP, MI. – According to an online news report posted at wtvbam.com, a car and a motorcycle collided in Girard Township, Michigan. The cause and nature of the collision was not reported, and the extent of injuries is not clear at this time. State Police are investigating to determine what happened.*
The accident took place during the late afternoon on Interstate 69 in Girard Township. Michigan State Police and WTVB report that at about 4:30 p.m., a car and a motorcycle somehow crashed into each other on the southbound side of I-69, close to the exit to Girard Road. It is not clear why or how the vehicles crashed.
The make and model for the car and the motorcycle were not included in the report. Authorities responding to the scene did not immediately say what factors might have been involved in the crash or led to the crash. Police did not indicate whether one of the drivers was at fault in the collision.
It is not clear from the report if anyone was injured or how serious any injuries were following the crash. WTVB reports that an ambulance responded to the scene, but the report did not say whether anyone was transported away from the scene to a local hospital for medical care.
The driver of the car was identified as a 31-year-old man from Saginaw, Michigan. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as a 55-year-old man from Hudson, Indiana. No passengers were said to have been riding in the car or on the motorcycle.
